To the market and help at the noodle stall (My Diary 05 October 2024).

This morning I woke up early because someone knocked on the front door, I opened the door and it turned out to be my neighbor who was visiting, she gave us some of her homemade timphan cakes.

I accepted it and thanked her very much for the gift. Then my neighbor quickly went home and I went back inside to get ready and then continued to take a shower. Ah, my body felt fresher, I tasted the timphan my neighbor gave me and it tasted very good.

Then my daughter had not woken up from her sleep, I went out of the house for a while to breathe in the fresh air in the morning, I walked to the back of the house and arrived at the family garden. There were corn plants that were flowering and there were also chili plants planted in polybags. It was beautiful and I like the green.

After taking my daughter to my mother, I went to the local market to shop. I really miss shopping by myself. I can choose my own fish and vegetables. I haven't been to the market for more than a month because of the many activities at home that I can't leave. Oh, I feel like I want to take a few weeks off to go on vacation alone without anyone bothering me. I want to spend time alone in the mountains because the air there is very clean and the beautiful natural scenery is perfect for those of us who want to feel calm and peaceful.

you know what's on my mind right now if I were there, I want to wake up early and breakfast has been provided, warm water for me to bathe in, I want to be massaged until I fall asleep, watch TV and have fun. That's my wish and it might not come true because I'm not rich😄, if only... 💸.

I also want luxury goods, have a car but that's impossible to fulfill. And solitude and tranquility are what I want now.

As usual when I arrive at the market, many traders greet me and ask about me because it's been a long time since I've seen them. Today the market looks quiet and the traders look tired, I continue my activity of buying vegetables. Wow today there is a big pumpkin, I like it. I bought the big pumpkin for 5,000 rupiah because it can be cut by the seller, later I want to cook stir-fried shrimp paste. After I shopped I went home because I had to cook and then I picked up my daughter.

In the afternoon as usual I helped my husband at the stall, usually I would sweep the floor and yard, boil water, arrange the shelves with vegetables, celery, cucumber and flour noodles. Then I folded banana leaves as a package. Then I took a shower and served customers in the afternoon.

Until the evening came I helped at the stall with my younger sister. She washed the dishes and did other light tasks. I was busy wrapping orders tonight, thank God after Maghrib prayers many customers came to order and it was quite busy. Some ordered two packages, three packages, and a maximum of 15 packages.

While my husband was just busy in the kitchen cooking customer orders, sweat was pouring down his face, he looked tired and felt hot because he was in front of a hot stove.

When the stall closed, I told my husband to cook fried shrimp vermicelli. This is my favorite noodle and also my daughter's. Usually in a week he will cook up to three times for us.

My daughter couldn't wait to try it, fork in hand and ready to eat her favorite noodles. We both finished it without leaving any and it was so delicious.
