"Gardening Challenge - My family garden, My favorite place"

Happy new week everyone, hope your weekend was enjoyable and fine. Today I wish to make a very wonderful entry like this as my first steemit post for this week. I enjoy participating in this contest alot and is only once I have missed this contest. Special thanks to @irawandedy for creating this contest again.

Publish your simple plantation system

My simple plantation system isn't much as they are just really simple and cool, I enjoy planting different kinds of crops with my father in our little garden and the following are my simple plantation system;

Plantain : I can remember when I was talking about the plantain tree my father planted months ago and began to wait for it to produce fruits. We never even expected it to bear fruits because it has even passed the time is supposed to bear fruit and there's no fruit.

Even as we felt discouraged, we kept on taking care of the tree, watering it everyday till it finally bears fruit. The plantain tree finally bear fruit and we were happy, we hardly plant plantains in our garden.

Pepper : Two months ago we planted pepper in our garden and I see this as a very good decision because it will really help to reduce our expenses once it starts producing peppers.

We use pepper alot when cooking different meals and we spend money alot buying pepper in the market so my father decided that we should plant pepper in other to reduce our expenses.

How do you do it (plant care)

Planting isn't very difficult, just like the planting of plantain, we just collect the root of a plantain tree that must have beared fruits and cut down then we dig the grown and keep the root inside then cover it with sand and begin to water it. We do the process with pepper but we just make use of their seeds and not the roots.

Harvest system

Harvesting plants has always been the joyous part of a farmer, farmers watch their crops grow as they aspire to harvest them someday. Most especially perennial crops that takes a very long time before harvest time comes. We do harvest our crops like pepper by plugging the peppers with our hands and taking them to the kitchen. The plantains will be cut off from the tree when is time to be harvested and we cut down the tree immediately for other crops to grow freely.

Risk of Planting Failure

I always make sure my crops are in good state by taking care of them daily and ensuring nothing happens to them. To be a very good farmer you must be very hardworking and caring so that you don't just stay around doing nothing because you are tired and begin to see your crops spoil. I have always protected my crops to ensure they grow very well and fresh.

What steps did you take to overcome crop failure.

To overcome something as bad as crop failure, I always ensure that I take time to observe my crops all the time so that I can know when something is wrong before it escalate and affect the entire crops just the way a running fire spreads fast. I also make research in the internet whenever am free so that I can get more information on how to maintain my crops. The internet is a good place to learn many things about planting.

How much it costs

Like I always say, the highest thing I can say we use money is the money we use to buy fuel we use in pumping water to water our crops and is NGN700 which is currently 4.3 steem. With time when we must have gotten a bigger garden, maybe we might be making use of different things like machines.
