Hope Contest, and The Journey to 5000 Steem Power: My Hopes, Plans, and Achievements on Steemit

Every one of us carries a unique dream and aspirations we tend to achieve during our time here on Steemit. Thanks to @irawandedy, we now have the opportunity of sharing those dreams alongside the plans we have put in place to make those dreams a reality. Whether it is been a whale, a curator, or increasing your network in the system, this is an amazing opportunity to outline those steps we’ve already taken and the vision that pushes us forward.

Early this year, my target was achieving 2000 steem power to celebrate my one year on Steemit since I returned. I didn’t think it was possible at first, especially when I see people who are very consistent on the platform and have stayed quite longer than me with small Steem power but I didn’t let it discourage me. I kept pushing and to my delight, I crossed the 2000 steem power in September, which made me one year.

I was inspired by one of @chants post of how she reached 5000 SP in a space of 2 years as a member of club100. I have decided to take that leap of faith, to take on the challenge of achieving 5000 steem power in 2 years. I know it might sound a bit crazy considering the fact that I don’t have “TRX” at my disposal to do some little expenses that may come up from time to time but I believe is achievable. So, watch out for me on this space, as I come here next year September 2025 to celebrate my 5000 SP milestone.

To be sincere, I’m still trying to figure out the right steps to take but if there is anything I’ve learned over time, it’s that “consistency” is a key factor to succeed on Steemit. I will be listing out few strategies that I plan to use.

• Focus my post more on challenges that reward in high steem power and also improving on my content creation.

• Increase my engagement through comment and upvotes. This won’t only increase my chances of earning, it would also increase my network within the steemit community.

• I have plans on improving my style of writing or maybe create a niche that resonates with my readers, going forward.

• I may likely increase my club status from club5050 to club75. But that actually depends on how things are progressing offline.

Additionally, I have plans of becoming more involved on Steemit next year because I noticed as an admin, witness, moderator, curator or any official, it increases not only your visibility but also attracts certain influential individuals to your post. So, I might likely apply as a moderator or curator.

One of the major activity I did that made me able to achieve that 2000 steem power was stopping the habit of selling off all my remaining steem.

Before now, I usually sell off my 50% that I didn’t power up but that made it very hard for me to achieve my 2000 SP target. Now, after redeeming my reward, i got for the month, I add it up to my previous steem, then i power up. That was how I was able to achieve the target of 2000sp.,

With determination and consistent effort, I believe I will achieve my target of 5000 SP by next year.
