The Most Adventurous Thing I Have Ever Done. (Samson and Delilah)

Introduction

Like @wakeupkitty said, our life is one big adventure and that’s absolutely the truth. It comes with unexpected twists and turns, opportunities for growth, and so many experiences beyond our imagination. Accepting it as an adventure makes each moment worthwhile.

I have had lots of crazy adventures especially with ladies and whenever I remember them it makes me laugh really hard. Sometimes I ask myself, is it because I’m bearing the name “Samson”, that I won’t rest in ladies hands???? Well, is all in the past now. I’ve decided to follow Jesus….. 🤪🤪

I think I’ve shared two of my funny experiences with ladies here, this will be the third one. Hopefully, when I grow old, I’ll tell my kids and grandkids to open “steemit.com”, if they want to know about their dad’s escapade while he was a young guy. Before going ahead let me invite @ceendy20, @xkool24 and @caramella111 for this great contest hosted by @goodybest. I’m sure you guys might have a story to share with us as well..

MY RIVERS STATE POLYTECHNIC ADVENTURE.

(this was the occasion, I met the girl, 2013)

It all started when my former roommate graduated from the University and he invited me to come celebrate with him at his house with some few friends that was also present there. His girlfriend invited her own friends and the place was filled with booze. Among all her friends, one was looking so reserved and beautiful. In fact, she was looking like what a typical Nigeria man would call “wife material”.

I didn’t want to delay any further, I left my friends that I was having fun with, to go sit with her before someone else will meet her. We got talking a lot. I found out she was still in school. Her school is located in a place that use to have big time war with my own community in the old days. But that didn’t deter me from exchanging numbers with her.

It didn’t take long for our relationship to kick off. It was really beautiful having her to come spend the weekend with me and my friends liked her. The whole drama started when I decided to pay her a visit at school for the first time. As a good boyfriend, I couldn’t come empty handed, I came with provisions to put smiles on her face.

Throughout Friday and Saturday, we were indoors and each time I demanded we go out, she will bring up excuses that ”we already have everything we want inside the house, what’s the point going out to spend more money all in the name of enjoyment”. At first, I found it really cute, that she really cares about me, I had know idea that “there is more to that statement, that meets the eyes”.

It was now Sunday, I was just too bored and I wanted to go out. She now begged me, that if I want us to go out, let’s wait until night period. I didn’t see it as a big deal because usually that’s the perfect time to go out. Night came, we dressed up and stepped out. Had lots of fun and came back home very late. While entering the gate, someone greeted her, they discussed a little and we left.

Innocent me, I’d no idea that the guy she stopped to talk with was a friend to her school boyfriend. She stepped out again leaving only me in the house watching a movie in her laptop, only for her to run into the room, locked the doors, off the lights and told me not to make a noise.

At first, I thought she saw armed robbers. So, I opened the windows to peep and I saw one young lad. I just sighed and on the light back. I didn’t notice there was 3 guys coming behind him. He came disturbing the whole neighborhood, screaming at the top of his voice that he wants to take his laptop back, immediately I knew it was her school boyfriend. I told her not to worry about me and give the boy his laptop.

After collecting the laptop, I started hearing other voices outside shouting that they wanted to see the guy who was inside the room with her. I peeped through the window; that was when I saw the guy who approached her at the gate with two other guys. The friend must’ve called her school boyfriend, telling him that he saw his girlfriend around with a guy because I overheard the guys saying that she lied that she was going home to see her parents during the weekend. Unknown to them, she actually stayed back just to lodge a guy at her house. That was when I realized why she never wanted us to go out in the first place.

I noticed two of the guys were carrying two big planks waiting for me to come outside. The room windows are protected with iron burglary proof, so I couldn’t escape. I quickly called my cousin that’s aware that I was around. When I told him what was happening, instead of this nonsense boy to give me a better solution, he started laughing at me through the phone. He was now telling me that, I’m aware of the history of the two communities, yet I went ahead to sleep in enemy territory because of a lady!! I wasn’t ready for such joke at that time, I had to end the call. I wish I’d followed @weisser-rabe, for kung fu, classes, I would have come out and face them like a man.

I could hear the struggle between the lady and the four guys, they were trying to force their way in. I think the boyfriend noticed from the window that I’d rushed into the kitchen because he knows the house better. I went there to find any available weapon to defend myself incase they end up over powering her to enter.

Guess what welcomed me in the kitchen??? Rubber and iron spoons and forks. That was when i knew i was completely finished this night. No single knife. I was wondering, how the heck am I going to protect myself with this things. The only reasonable thing there was forks, so I took that and switched off the lights inside the room and took cover.

It got them scared. They refused to enter the room again. They knew I was at advantage now and the first person to enter will receive what was coming. So, no one was ready to take that risk. (If only they knew what I was holding was just a fork). They kept shouting that I should come out and face them. The girl noticed they were scared and she hurried outside to call the local vigilantes around the neighborhood.

The vigilantes were the ones who came after them and held them. The vigilantes was even very happy because they know they will make good money from them. I didn’t step out, I was just in my dark room, looking at everything that was happening.

After everything had been settled… the shocking part that almost made me faint was when this girl said those guys are not her boyfriend. That he’s just an admirer. I felt cold!! That’s the biggest lie someone have ever told me. I remembered the song shaggy sang “it wasn’t me”, I downloaded it because of her that night for her to listen.

Well, the next morning, my nonsense cousin along side with some of our friends came to pick me up from her place and that was the end of our relationship. Even after 11 years, my cousin and few of my friends that I told the story, still tease me with that incident.

I wonder where she could be now???

That’s all friends… if I am moved again, maybe , I’ll share another story, I’ve had with ladies but until then…. Bye!!! 👋
