Steemit Engagement Challenge Season2 #week2 | Markdown Style Contest: Show your activities in protecting the environment - Your activity (Sanitation)

Hello everyone,
It is a pleasure to be in participation in this contest organised by this community as regard the season 2 engagement challenge. This week 2 of the challenge brings a wonderful topic to us where we have to state ways in which we protect the environment in which we live.

The earth is our home and the protection of the environment is our sole responsibility. For us to live in good health, we ought to ensure that our immediate environment is kept clean at all times. This article is written to show the world how I as a person have helped to take care of my environment.

As a youth-serving corps member, I was privileged to join other corps members to always keep my environment clean through the sanitation of my immediate environment. Here are some images as proof of how I and other corps members alongside our supervisors cleaned the environment we found ourselves in.

This is what we do eventually every Friday of the week. Today is not an exception. I belong to a group called the Environmental Sanitation and Protection (EPS). Our duty as corp members is to ensure that day in and day out the environment we are lining is very clean and accommodating. Most times we do out for sensitization where we talk to people on the need for personnel hygiene.

Sometimes, we also go out to various schools within the environment and then educate them on the importance of tree planting because it plays a very important role when it comes to caring for the environment. This cleaning and planting of trees go a long way in checking erosion and some natural disaster that ideally was supposed to happen to the environment.

Finally, I have helped to protect my immediate environment by going out every Friday with other colleagues of mine to ensure that we do proper sanitation and also educate individuals on the need for personal hygiene. If you come down to Akwanga today, you will notice everywhere is very clean and tidy because of the work we did today and always.
