Good day everyone in the STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE community, I hope we are having a great day because I'm doing good today as well. It's yet another great topic to write on all thanks to @damithudaya for hosting such a wonderful contest.
I didn't get to notice the contest earlier but nevertheless, It's not too late to make an entry yet as today is the deadline.

Here is a brief introduction of my home town
My home town is located in the Edati Local Government Area in the southern Part of Niger state, the state known for the slogan of The power state in Nigeria which is also located in the North Central region of the country. The name of my home town is Gamunu, a town which was conquered by a prominent warrior in the 1980s with the name Ndejiko Gamunu, and the town was later named after him. My home town is situated on a high ground which makes it a very cold area especially during harmattan periods.

My father lives with his family in Minna, the capital city of Niger state. So we get to visit my home town once In a while during Sallah periods, occasional periods and during holidays. Whenever I visit my home town it's always a different feeling because I get to do things differently compared to the way they are in the city. One of these things is following my grandpa to his farm, visiting the river and playing late night games. Everything about my hometown is special and unique to me probably because I get to experience them once In a while.

My home town holds a very special place in my heart which is filled with some emotional memories I will live to cherish forever. Spending holidays in my home town with my siblings, relatives and my childhood friends brings to mind the sense of belonging and nostalgia.

There are many emotional memories which if I could, I will bring them back. Some of these memories are: chasing the rainbow with my friends whenever the rain falls, bathing in the river and splashing water on each other, playing hide and seek during night times and above all, gathering to eat traditional meals and listening to stories from my beloved grandma, may her soul continue to RIP 🕊️.

My home town has played a Vital role in influencing my current perspectives and lifestyle. While I was younger, I learnt alot in my home town to make me who I am today. I have a very deep sense of belonging, connection and appreciation all because I grew up in a town where all these values are being instilled in us.

The tranquility and simplicity of life in my home town has influenced my life today in the city by which I learned to appreciate the efforts of others and to find happiness in the little things I get myself involved in. The foundation of my perspectives in life today was built on the values of communal support, unity and respect which were established in my home town. Above all, i learnt to be an honest, humble, trustworthy and loyal person everywhere I find myself and I can proudly say that Yes, my lifestyle has been standing on these values and will continue to.

In conclusion, home towns are places where emotional connections are built, tapestries of love and joy are being created and where everlasting memories are recorded. If you haven't visited your home town for a long time now please try and visit there because there's no place like home. Thanks for reading through my post and hope you enjoyed your time spent here.
