Besides weddings and other outdoor activities, what indoor activities do you do on a free Saturday ??

So I called this Saturday, “chores Saturday”. That name emanated from the fact that I was literally indoors. I basically did not go anywhere and that's how I planned it.

My to do list included:
Laundry
Cleaning
Sweeping
Cooking
Reading
Netflix and chill
How will I forget taking a siesta, I've missed that a lot because of my extremely busy schedule of recent.

I started the day with washing a heep pile of clothes. You won't believe a friend i spoke with while washing called me “Washington” because I was literally washing a lot. Not that I had any choice to skip it , it was absolutely necessary.

I cleaned up the entire compound where I lived, swept everywhere and everywhere looking all peng 😊

I was already feeling hungry, I remembered I had some local pears and corn, guess what a beautiful combination I made out of that.

Trust me, this combination was really delicious. I fried the corn not with oil, just the corn on fire while turning it with a turning stick so it doesn't get burnt.
The pear was made with hot water. After boiling the water to a 100 degree Celsius, I turned my thoroughly washed local pear inside and kept for a while. I drained out the water after wards and my pear was ready. I really enjoyed it.

After eating, I was the strength to continue my chores. So I finished up my clean up in no time.

The exciting thing was that I was gradually ticking my to do list and I felt really productive.

It was time to cook, this is my favorite part tho because I was gonna make my favorite afang soup.

I don't know if it's weird that no matter how many times I cook this soup to eat, I'm always never tired of eating it. It's indeed my favorite African dish.

The major ingredient in this dish is the afang leaf, and it takes quite some time to get it ready. I plugged the leaves from my little garden close by. I washed it, dried it, sliced it(hardest part especially if you don't have a sharp knife) then I finally pounded it into a thick aggregate.

The other ingredients I used were water leaf, fish. Meat, stock fish, maggi, salt, red oil, crayfish, pepper. I love perewrinkle in my soup, but a local market wasn't close by so I couldn't get one, that's why it was omitted.

The secret in this food is that, once you get your afang leave and water leaf ready, this soup will be done in no time. I think that's why I also love cooking it and I never get tired of it.

I seasoned my meat , stockfish and fish separately and then mixed them together and placed on fire. I added the water leaf while steaming. I added my grinded crayfish and pepper and red oil to mix. I stired well and allowed to steam. I made sure the seasonings were all to taste. I finally added the well grinded afang leaf into my pot, it boiled for some mins and my soup was ready to be eaten.

I told you guys afang soup doesn't take time. Once your ingredients are ready, your soup will be done in no time. This soup was eaten with garri to compliment it. It was absolutely delicious and aroma was filling the air. One would be salivating working past this delicious meal. I ate to my satisfaction.

It was time to chill after the whole stress, I took a nap after freshening up. When I woke up, I started writing my diary game. I also remember reading and Netflix was on my list .

I made mini research on a disease diagnosis (nephrotic syndrome), I'd share my research knowledge on this condition in another post. This took me some 2hours. It was a mind blowing 2hours of learning and acquiring new knowledge.

Netflix was also on my mind, so I proceeded to complete a series I started (new Amsterdam). This movie is a must watch, I totally recommend !!! I don't want to give us a glimpse, it was worth a the time and resources. I still took a nap again.

When I woke up, I continued writing my diary game.

I was happy I could tick all my to-do list, I was very satisfied, I would say, it was a productive Saturday.
