SAED SAED SAED!!!
In my last post, I made mention of a special program, organized by the NYSC team. So it was time to participate in this beautiful program to improve my skills.
Skill acquisition and empowerment development is a must do program for all corp members in orientation camp.
At the SAED center, we were introduced again to the various facilitators who will be taking us on different entrepreneurial skills. I also made mention of these various skills in my last post, but that was just more like an introduction to what the whole program is aimed at achieving.
I have finally made up my mind to go into the area of cosmetology and organic products. Every other skills are so very very important and I would have loved to be a part of every skills. Unfortunately, we just have to pick one skill and register with and actively participate. I had in mind going for baking but I changed my mind along the line and in choose cosmetology.
So far, we have gone two days into our lessons and it's been everything captivating and educating. The first day was an introductory class where she told us what we are to expect in the class and the different products we will be making in the class.
According to our facilitator, we will be making a total of 10 productions. These 10 productions include:
- Liquid soap
- Disinfectants
- Bar soap
- Pink lip balm
- Organic body soap
- Perfume
- Hair shampoo
- Hair cream
- Body cream
- Dettol
The idea Is to cover two productions in one day, so that we will be done in a total of 5 days. Well in as much as the say everything is free here, we were still asked to pay a sum of #4500 approximately 46 steem for the knowledge gained and chemicals to be used in preparation of all 10 products. To think we haven't received money from the government yet is overwhelming to Carter for all the bills in camp.
It was day two and time for actual practice to start. Our facilitator got all the chemicals ready for production of liquid soap and disinfectant.

5 LITERS DISINFECTANT PREPARATION
