JOINT WITH WORKERS AT COCONUT FIBER VENTURE AND TRY TO DO WHAT THEY DO

Coconut is one of the tropical plants that are widely found in almost all of Indonesia, especially in coastal areas. There are many benefits that can be obtained from coconut, starting from the fruit, water, leaves and even the trunk. all parts of the coconut can be useful for human life. This time, my focus is on the fruit, especially coconut fiber which is the peel of the coconut fruit.
fortunately, I had the opportunity to join the workers at the coconut fiber processing site.

Today, Sunday, September 8, 2024 I joined the workers to see and try to process coconut peel into several products that can be used for certain purposes. from coconut peel we can get coco fiber, coco bristle and coco peat.

Each product is obtained from several steps. There are several steps that I can do manually, there are also several steps that must use several machines, but not everyone can operate the machine, because it must be someone who is expert and experienced, because it contains risks.

First, the coconut peel is soaked in a water tube to obtain a certain moisturize. This I can do.

Next I saw the soaked coconut peel being processed by a machine that produced half fiber.

Then I saw the half fiber results being processed again by a machine to produce coco bristle. Which is the most valuable of coconut

The next step I separated the fiber from the coco peat by filter it using coco fiber filter machine

Then all these products are dried under the sunlight to decrease moisture. Unfortunately today is rainy day. So it can't be dried but I put it to be dried tomorrow.

The next step is finishing.
Coco fiber is packed by pressing manually.

Coco peat is put into a sack or packet with plastic bag.

And coco bristle is tied with plastic rope and packed with sack too.

That is the end of several steps to produce many kind of coconut fiber. some of them I can do it by my self easily and some of them just for expert workers.
