How are you all friends? Hope you all are well. I am doing very well with all your prayers and the infinite mercy of the great Allah.
Today I have organized my post about our area and the biggest underpass in Bangladesh.
On July 29, 2018, Diya and Rajiv, students of this institution, lost their lives when they were crushed by two buses of Jabale Noor Transport on this road. After this incident, students of different educational institutions of Dhaka came down to the streets. In response to the demands of the safe road movement, the government took the initiative to construct footoverbridges in front of various educational institutions.
And as part of this the 'Sur Saptak' underpass has been constructed. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the underpass through video conference from Ganabhaban. It was then opened to the public.

Students and common people are happy as the state-of-the-art underpass is operational. When you enter inside, it feels like a luxurious multi-storey building. There are lifts for elderly, children and sick patients. .
There are also first aid and fire fighting systems. 42 meter box section underpass under the main road has been constructed for the first time in Bangladesh.

Inside the underpass, one will be mesmerized by the digital displays on the walls and the historic old stills. This underpass is fully air-conditioned and has transparent glass on top, so the surroundings are beautifully illuminated by sunlight.

There are escalators and lifts for the convenience of pedestrians. There are wheelchair and trolley facilities that can be easily used by the elderly, disabled and children.
