My journey of self-discovery #1

in hive-153970 •  11 months ago

Sometime ago, my life lingered around restlessness, bunch of depression, sense of dissatisfaction, insecured and a feeling of dormancy.

Amongst this, I often hear a subtle whisper urging me to explore. After setting all huddles aside I decide to embark on a journey of self-discovery. What I find out would shock you..., it could even be useful to you.

Ofcourse this journey I would say has no specific timeline, it is what some people would refer to as ‘personal odyssey’ just to unravel one’s purpose and vision if you know what I mean.

To move forward, it was pertinent I delve into the pages of my past, this was basically to identify my weaknesses and strengths.

I needed to confront my buried fears and face my unresolved experiences. This definitely requires courage as facing those shadows can only be the beginning process of healing.

Meditation, reading, journaling like what I have 👉 here which I so much enjoy doing, deep self-reflection, acknowledging imperfections, introspection, self-negotiation and willingness to explore brought me revelations that reshaped my understanding.

I let go societal expectations and perfections, I rather seeked the perspective of trusted friends and family members, raw honesty from well-meaning individuals were very useful for my growth. Indeed, there is strength in authenticity..., you can read that again!

Another unique factor that helped me was that, I interacted with diverse cultures and relationships. Each of this external influence acted as a mirror and contributed to my self-awareness and personal growth.

Regardless of the challenges I faced along the way, ofcourse the journey wouldn’t be without storms, I still found lessons in resilience.

Each setback was a pivot to keep moving. I was able to discover the strengths within me. Yes, I am strong.

Ofcourse I am still a work in progress juat like every other person and this journey keeps moving and probably may never end.

Every day I keep editing and adding chapters to my stories.

Growth is possible, self-discovery is real, though daunting, but it is a catalyst for growth. As we all embrace our individual journey, I wish us all a safe landing and great exploration...and I wish you all a happy new week!

I am alive and you are alive too to read this, that's what matters at the moment.

Thank you for your contribution. It's good to know about Yeshe F. Longau, I'm not sure, I have read his publications before but he seems to have a great idea about human nature.

Your journey of self-discovery is truly inspiring

I'm glad that little story of mine could be useful.

Sometimes a more consideration of our mental stand is worth examining even though it’s not always easy.

You have achieved something that many others who feel the same way as you have not. Congratulations to you - and to us! You've stayed with us and, it seems, have even grown ;-))

Perhaps you still remember @papi.mati...? He retired from Steem almost 2 years ago when he was in a very bad mood. I would like to know how he fared. Whether he has at least temporarily overcome his depression... As he seems to pop in here from time to time: maybe he's reading this ;-)) And leaves a sign of life or seeks an exchange with you...?!

and to us!

Yes! A win for one is a win for all, especially for real friends. I am glad to stay with you all and I appreciate that accomodating spirit. Thank you very much for standing by and also proving that you are human with humanity consciousness. I appreciate you.

And yeah, I know papi-mati..., he left some great impacts that is still useful till this moment in the blog.

Hopefully, he would be here again...soon.
