Are you still commenting?

It is good you stayed and your mentor is right. You are not noticed because of your posts but comments. If you show up at the right places and engage everyone will know your and it doesn't matter how much SP you have.

A valuable comment? You wrote it here but what if no one answers or I write back; OK?
A comment is great but just leaving a comment is not the same as engaging. If you read mainly comments like I do you will notice that many do not comment at all and out of those who do the biggest part always writes the same and with their words, the discussion is closed. If you write comments in such a way it's easy because there's no reply and no need to answer again but is this engagement? Will those people like you, answer, think of you, notice you, upvote you? I don't think so.

You're right, simply leaving a comment isn't enough, it's the follow-up conversations and responses that foster connections and build relationships.

To truly engage, one must be willing to listen, respond thoughtfully, and show interest in others' thoughts and opinions. By so doing, we can create more dynamic conversation that benefits everyone involved.

That is what all platforms need and why commenting is important. Once the talk continues it's fine if it's shorter since you talk up and down. Also it's important to have some fun. I read today how it was said that if there are comments at all they are so serious and I think that's right.

A great evening and don't forget to have fun!
