Before Yewande's Birthday

Planning for upcoming events even if it's small, breaks sweat out of me. Because I might have something planned in my head and something else will happen and change almost all plans.

My Plans

Well, Yewande's birthday will just be in school, that was what I said to myself. I got her souvenirs ready and bought drinks I intend to share with the few staff around her class and also with "Tiara's" teacher and assistant.

Mommy Ashley

Her birthday was on the 9th which was on Saturday but she would take pictures with her mates in school on Monday and give them souvenirs to take home. So on Friday while in front of their school, I saw "mommy Ashley" (our dressmaker) passing by, on a motorcycle, I called out to her as I suspected she was heading to my place.

Uncomfortable Class

I went to "Yewande's" class first, to get her before heading to "Tiara and Erika's" class. "Tiara's" classmates are fond of "Yewande" they always want to carry her, which my beloved baby finds annoying and uncomfortable🫤.

Our Dress

We got home to check out the dress "Mommy Ashley" made, and she did well. She helped me make "Tiara's" dress too.

My initial plan was to make it myself, but hers came out beautifully. And it got "Tiara" really happy,

Sweetest Esha

My cousin "Esha" informed me that she would visit on Saturday but only to drop "Yewande's" cake, that was another sweet news for me. I decided to bake another cake that evening so I can have a non-decorated cake to share with my neighbors since "Tiara" already informed one of our neighbors 😒

Birthday Saturday

It was our birthday Saturday, I woke up looking at my beautiful kids sleeping, I took a picture of "Yewande"

Then I laid my hands on her and prayed for her. I couldn't leave "Tiara" out, I prayed for her also. Remembering how God saw me through, birthing them and now I have two under 5, it is such a great blessing 🥹

WhatsApp Call

I got a call from my neighbor on WhatsApp, singing a happy birthday song for "Yewande" As the song ended her husband Daddy pastor (that is what we call him) started praying for my baby, the network got bad, I just had to end the call. Tiara decided to start exercising and the perfect dumbbell was a water melon 🫣.

The neighbours

I got a good slice of cake, since it was for the whole family, then added drinks and took "Yewande" there. He prayed for her and suggested that they take her out. Meaning I should get ready and stress myself 😆. Outing can be stressful to me sometimes plus I had work to do, there was no need for it.

Beautiful cake

I got home, packaged other neighbors' cakes and drinks, and then asked our security to deliver them to them. I later got a call from "Lorein", she needed directions to my house so we can visit the office together for her interview. I got back from town, I just had to be brief cos I know my baby girl will need me back home. I saw our beautiful cake from "Aunty Esha", since now a decorated cake is here, let's head to the studio.

The studio

We got to the studio with our beautiful dresses, I mean dresses on the kids because I was looking like a big maid with my hair undone and my scarf not covering my hair to hide anything as the heat from the sun was just terrible, I was sweating like someone poured water on me.

"Tiara" took a few shots with her beautiful green dress and "Yewande" had her lovely purple one with her cake in front. It was a stressful experience but amazing too it will help preserve memories for the future.

The grandmas

We got back home, the girls changed clothes and were chilling watching TV like old women enjoying their retirement money 🤑.

It was a busy lovely Saturday and by Monday she will celebrate with her classmates.
