What's up, lovely people? How's life? Has it been good? I hope it is great on your end.
I'm tired but I'll keep on going.
As for me, there were lots of things that bothered me and in fact I was too tired to fall asleep literally.
But is it possible? Have you ever experienced such?
I had been so tired and stressed lately and those things and many more refrain me from having a good rest.
Here are few things that happened to me lately;
Kids' classes demands me to wake up early and it's a huge challenge
My daughter's class in 5th grade starts too early and I had to wake up ahead of her in the help of my phone alarm to prepare her food before going to school: I can't let her go on an empty stomach. After she leaves, I had to help my younger kids prepare for school and bring them there before preparing myself for my work.
additional work, additional time
Mentoring the new feed mill planner is still on going and I needed time additional time spent on my work so I won't be leaving the usual job I do and I really hope I could render my 7-9 am on that yet the husband sometimes demands time from me too.
T TH S overtime schedule responsibility
Over the last month, the feed mill extension had been operating and it tripled our usual milling as well as deliveries and releases. During that time, I never wanted to render an overtime work but when I saw Paula massaging her head because she got a headache due to her successive overtime up to 10 pm in two weeks, I got hit by my conscience and agreed a 50/50 schedule; I let Paula choose first, hers is the Monday, Wednesday Friday schedule and mine is the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday schedule.
crippled manning
Greg was pulled out in the office and the feed mill extension was already working and honestly, I and my co-workers were overloaded with work. This week, Paula got a fever and I had to fill her after she went home at 4 pm; she was absent in Tuesday and I had to fill her in too. I had to walk around the building to and fro the lab and office because there were lots of things to do.
Paula got dengue
Paula forced to go to work on Wednesday, she has an assistant and she does all the hard job so Paula could rest and get paid 🤪 I do this sometimes when I don't feel well too, lol.
But yesterday (as it was 3am as of writing) Paula had convulsions, her hand and feet hardened and was ruched to the hospital. Her blood tests confirmed her having dengue virus and good thing our boss helped her to be admitted in a private hospital (I wish our health insurance covers sickness and illness outside from work one day), she was admitted asap and had been medicated fast.
Everyone was worried about her and it was timely because I went to work earlier than usual and again I had to fill her in and in the following days.
painful legs and soles
All the walking I didn't this week made my legs hurt; I was used to sitting for almost 8 hours (but I was looking for this kind of exercise) I wanted to hang them but since my two kids wanted cuddles, they use my arm as their pillow, I just can't do it at all.
Today I was already wide awake at 1am; it was hot and my daughter asked for my help on her wet shirt on the back and my legs were bothering me so much. I really tried hard to get back to sleep but I just can't and decided to spend my time writing to make it worth it. I know I will be very sleepy later just like had yesterday and I hope I could use my lunch break to have a little rest.
I missed the opportunity to earn money
Last Sunday our general manager asked me to castrate his piglets in his farm but it was too late to go since the husband has another appointment to go to at 3pm. The next day, Angelle told me we go together but I was too busy and we have no vehicle to use to go. We scheduled for the next day but that was when Paula was not around and the GM's mother was rushing him to get it done. Now Paula had been hospitalized and I told Angel I cannot go then she told me it was done already. Darn, I lost the opportunity to earn money and now regret is flushing me.
I don't know how long it would take Paula to get better and be discharged from the hospital but I really hope she will get well soon. Private hospitals are really expensive and I know it will cost her a lot.
Dengue cases is high in our place and it really worries me a lot everytime because my daughters stays at my mum's place playing with her phone with no protection and oftentimes, they could not feel the mosquitoes sucking them out.
But what worries me most is my sonat his nanay's house because everytime I go there, I always see huge mosquitoes especially in the afternoon and when I tell her about it, she says "Wala man kay Wala man ko lamoka day"( there now because no mosquito bit me) like duh, you were wearing ling pants but my son oftentimes don't. And mind you, two of her grandson's caught dengue virus in the previous years, though I'm not sure whether they caught it from the mosquitoes at their school. Despite that it worries me a lot.
coffee
Those were just a few of the things that bother me, and oh, coffee, I had coffee on the afternoon because I had to keep awake in the last two hours of the duty hours.
When I arrived home, I really wanted my back glued on the bed till morning but I had to help my sister prepare food for dinner and it took a while because she decided to have springrolls which takes a lot of time to prepare and cook.
back pain
One more thing, I had been feeling discomfort on my back, I don't know whether it was just because of the air conditioner but I guess it was because of the too few water intake I did last week and the weeks before.
I was hunting for huge water bottle so everytime I see it I would be reminded to drink and I'd set myself quota to finish more than a liter of water a day and not a few cups of coffee😅 a day.
Now it's 4am, neighbor's alarms are going but i till don't feel like I'm going to sleep soon.
Anyway, my mum and my daughters will go to Valencia today because my Lolo wanted to celebrate his birthday with us around but as I said I wont go because we were not financially sufficient and not that I had to fill Paula's work, it gave me another reason not to. I pray that they will have safe travel and that the kids will not have seasickness during their travel and will be able to come back safely on the next day.
Life is a roller coaster of happiness, excitement and disappointments but despite all that, always have the source of happiness from the people and things that you love!
