Flowers? My town is just crawling with 'em right now...

So there I was, cruising Twitter like I do about once a year

when I spotted a tweet from @dswigle ...something about how this is going to be great, and let's give this a go. Naturally I retweeted that thing then I headed straight over to see what exactly is going on.

The first thing I should say about this post is that I've been shooting flowers for a month now, ever since the snow melted. The cherry blossoms are really starting to pop on my street as you can see above.

Snowdrops have been out for several weeks now... they're probably the first flower we see in spring.

Rhododendrons are another early flower. We've got plenty of them now.

Next I've got a close-up of some hyacinth flowers for you.

Tulips... now those seem a bit early to me but I'm no expert.

Finally, here are some more cherry blossoms, or plum, or whatever. Like I said, I'm no expert, I just know what I like. Hope you all don't mind me dropping in like this. I wonder what's going to happen next?

Aren't you the sweetest? Thanks for the retweet! I have missed you and you came back with a vengeance! Or at least loaded to the hilt with all sorts of spring trailing behind you!

Those cherry/plum blossoms are exquisite, but, then again, when have you ever put up an ugly flower... and can there be such a thing? I'm pretty sure there is even beauty in the demise of a flower.

Your Rhodies are gorgeous and those hyacinths I can almost smell their sweet perfume from here. Just move that bush aside just a tad. Thanks. That is better. Some tulips are early bloomers and then again, some are forced to bloom. Sort of like your mother making you get up on a school morning when you clearly weren't ready.

Mind if you drop in like this? I am tickled pink! :) And all sorts of spring colors. I'm wondering what is going to happen next myself. Keep me updated! :)

Thanks for dropping by and I have a confession to make. That was @old-guy-photos that tweeted his post. I goofed up my post and didn't post it on my new community page. Ugh! But he did so that is what you saw! I am grateful he picked up on my error. Hope to see more of you!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I don't know much about communities but I know it's a feature that people have been waiting a long time for, so it's awesome to see... and of course if there was to be a community for flower-lovers I can't think of anyone better to run it! Yay!!! :-)

You sure did get some beautiful shots !

We've had fake spring here and some bushes and flowers were starting to bloom. It's so pretty, but I still think we have a little cold winter that will sneak in, so they may have to start all over again later, either that, or they will never go to full bloom this year. Time will tell

I could almost smell that hyacinth. mmmMMMmmmmmm
