1 John 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
There are chance for forgiveness even if you commit the same sin in countless times so far it is not intentional
Lord Jesus Christ answer Peter when he asked how about his brother offend him in 7 times
Matthew 18:21-22 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
That is how a Christian should deal with a fellow Christian. So far it is not sin against to death, Holy Spirit, it is not classified into unpardonable.
If it is not a big sin, you can forgive your brother in 490 as Jesus Christ told Apostle Peter
This teaching doesn't encourage us to sin repeatedly
Hebrews 10:26-27 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Jesus Christ is telling us to how to classify sin to our brothers, our sisters if it is personable or unpardonable sin
