Google Ventures backs Blockchain.com $120 million funding

Blockchain.com, a cryptocurrency exchange and wallet provider, today announced a $ 120 million fundraiser that includes Google Ventures alongside Moore Strategic Ventures (Louis Bacon), Kyle Bass, Access Industries, Lightspeed Venture Partners and more.

Google Cloud has an active interest in public blockchains and distributed ledger technology (DLT), which was first highlighted when the company joined Hedera's board of directors.

Meanwhile, US cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, which has 43 million users, is gearing up for an IPO, although it has yet to publish its prospectus.
