It is an impressive construction, its base is star-shaped and even today you feel a strange energy when you enter it, perhaps it has to do with the large number of men and women who died tortured in its dungeons during the time of Venezuela's independence process.

Among the people who were tortured to death there was the Venezuelan heroine Luisa Cacéres de Arismendi, who at the age of 16 was taken prisoner while pregnant, where she was tortured to death along with the child she was carrying in her womb. When you enter the dungeon where the young woman was imprisoned, a strong energy seizes you and fills you with a great sorrow and sadness that makes many visitors cry without knowing why.
