Hello everyone!
I'm @shishir103 I guess everyone doing great. May Allah bless you all.
I would like to thank @boss75 for introducing this contest. I really appreciate it.
This is Kantajew Temple, Dinajpur, Bangladesh.
It’s one of the most beautiful & significant architectural heritage site of Bangladesh. It was built in 1704-1752 by King Pran Nath & his son King Ramnath dedicated to hindu deity Lord Krishna (Kanta). Pran Nath started the work and after his demise in 1722 his son completed it in 1752.
It’s architectural style is Navaratna. Because it had Nine spires but now they can't be seen as those are jeopardised by a massive earthquake in 1871. The walls of the temple contains terracotta. It’s one of the finest example of terracotta. These terracotta resembles the epic of Mahabharata & Ramayana.
It is a three storey building. The temples' altar is Rectangular but the temple is square in shape. The walls contains a lot of rectangular shaped tiles which depicts astonishing beautiful carvings of divinity of Hindu epic Mahavarata, Ramayana, the lifestyle of then, animals etc.
The columns are also very beautiful. They are also full of terracotta. This superb architectural wonder is a glory of persian, western & bengali architecture. It's a incredible piece of art and architecture & we cherish and admire it.
We are proud of it.
You should definitely pay a visit.
