For no particular reason — other than maybe the fact that it is raining today — I found myself looking back across my "library" of some 300+ top level posts...
In an utterly non-scientific sort of way, my thumbnail analysis (of course, allowing for the fact that cats do not HAVE thumbs!) is that a cat post has a value of about 50 cents.
As a large kitten, in the bathroom sink...
Sure, there have been a number of exceptions along the way... but they have been few, and unpredictable.
The actual content of the post — which has on occasion been quite lengthy (1000+ words) and informative (if I must say so, myself, and I MUST!) — doesn't really seem to matter all that much.
If there's a picture of a cat, it has a value of about 50 cents.
Except, of course, if the cat happens to belong to "someone important." I'd like to be "important," but alas I am not!
Watching the birds, outside...
Now, why would I even care, and take the time to make this observation?
Because on the "greater Internet," cat-related content is extremely popular. Which, in turn, suggests to me that this community remains a very niche sort of place, and it'll be a while before more "general" audiences come here.
I'm hopeful that will happen, though...
Hope you are having a good (and DRY!) day!

Thanks! Yes, anything that is more or less round or basket shaped seems to make a good cat bed.
