[Poem] The Hoarder's Heart

in hive-156351 •  6 months ago

In shadowed corners, piles arise,
A tangled mess before my eyes.
Newspapers stacked, a towering wall,
Forgotten dreams, a haunting call.

Buttons gleam, a rainbow bright,
But lack the coat they once made tight.
A chipped teacup, a lonely friend,
No longer fit to hold a blend.

These objects cling, with silent plea,
A burden carried, can't set them free.
The hoarder's heart, a cluttered space,
Lost in memories, a forgotten pace.

Perhaps it's time to let them go,
Release the weight, the stories flow.
For true collections live in mind,
A treasure chest, a lighter kind.
