The Madiun City Government, East Java, recorded that the cure rate for COVID-19 cases in the local area on Saturday (10/10) reached 123 people out of 142 total confirmed cases or 86.62 percent.
Based on a release issued by the Madiun City Government's Office of Communication and Informatics (Diskominfo), the recovery rate of more than 86 percent was contributed by four COVID-19 patients in the local area who were declared cured this Saturday.
"There are four people recovered today, Saturday (10/10). This addition brings the total number of cases of recovery in Madiun City to as many as 123 people," said Head of Information Technology and Communication Division of Madiun City, Noor Aflah, in his statement in Madiun.
According to the data, the recovered cases came from patients number 128, 129, 130, and 131. The recovered cases number 128 to 131 were health workers from the Dr. Soedono Madiun Regional Hospital who was confirmed with COVID-19 on September 30.
Where cases number 128, 129, and 130 were previously confirmed contact cases who were also health workers at the hospital. Meanwhile, the confirmation case number 131 appeared when carrying out a "rapid test" for trips out of town.
Even though the "Case Recovery Rate" is considered high, the Madiun City Government asks its citizens to remain vigilant because the spread of COVID-19 is still happening.
The Madiun City COVID-19 Handling Task Force Team recorded two new confirmed cases on Saturday (10/10) which were registered as patients number 141 and 142.
According to the data, patient number 141 with the initials MS (48) is a male resident of Nambangan Lor Village. MS is known to have traveled to Jember for work and returned to Madiun at the end of last month.
MS together with the group from Jember also conducted a "rapid test" upon arrival in Madiun City with the results of the non-reactive MS rapid test. However, because a confirmation case emerged from the group, MS was still subjected to a swab test and the result was MS confirmed positive for COVID-19. MS is now undergoing isolation in a hospital in Madiun Regency in a stable condition without any complaints.
Meanwhile, case number 142 with the initials DS (52) is a male resident of Pandean Village. DS is a resident of Madiun City who works in Ngawi Regency. The DS confirmation case began with a rapid test and swab to all employees after a confirmation case appeared at their place of work.
The DS patient is now undergoing isolation in a hospital in Madiun City with a stable condition without any complaints.
Based on the Madiun City COVID-19 Distribution Map until Saturday, October 10, 2020, 142 people were confirmed positive. Of these, 123 people were declared cured, seven people died, and 12 people were being treated.
