Inflation isn't as expected, we had directly after the news a big dump on the S&P 500 and BTC followed by a pump to return to the level before.
I deleted this week's gains on the last long ATOM/USDT trade, basically I'm at break even by adding the gains on the last two trades of this week with today's loss.
The lesson to be learned here is that I traded against the strongest trend (bearish), so it is sometimes better to miss potential profits by avoiding taking reversal trades provided you have several confirmations without being aggressive , unlike a trend-following trade which is more likely to be profitable.
Patience is the hardest rule to apply, so I'm going to impose a rule on myself, it's to stop trading against the trend, only follow the trend by following what the weekly chart says, and the head of the market in weekly shows only one direction which is the south.
After closing my long on ATOM, I opened a Short directly, for the same reasons that I repeat all the time, either on the S&P 500, the Dollar Index DXY, the rate of inflation, the future rise in rates of interest, the large peaks of Long liquidations to the south on BTC, the power of the downward trend in Weekly, and finally a BTC which has not yet sought the last Bottom of June at 17.6K unlike the S&P 500 which has already broken its Bottom of June and also the level of 3585 on the MA 200 Weekly.
