Good Morning
Here is another beautiful day and a slow awakening to life without lockdown. It’s an irony that I would call a normal day as a life with the lockdown. Hmm. Wasn’t lockdown the disruption?
Anyway, good to see services start and things getting back on. However, the cases are yet to go on a decline, fully. That said, so many positive news of vaccines, alternate medicines coming up. So, things are getting well, indeed.
Let’s check out my exercise schedule, shall we?
Yesterday evening my daughter and I were back to the regular exercise. We did the shorter version of our schedule and as usual, played Langdi at the end of the regime.
Here is the shorter version.
- Warm-up: About two minutes
- Suicide drill: 2 sets
- Shuttle run: 1 set with four reps
- Dynamic abdominal plank: 45-seconds
- Burpees: 6
- Side planks: 30-seconds each side
- Rock-climbing: 45-seconds
- Reverse cycling: 30-seconds
- Reverse row-hold: 30-seconds
- Langdi
I had missed this shorter version for a long time. Although we call it the short version because of the number of exercises, it takes more effort. Why? Well, we have the burpees in this version, that’s why. 😊
So, coming to the morning schedule, I was on abs again. The pentapulet version is working well, and it’s a good concept that I am starting to like. The idea is to pack more sets in one cluster of exercises and rush through them without a break. How many such clusters you can do is the challenge.
Here are my abs pentapulets:
- 1-set of crunches
- 1-set of reverse crunches
- 1-set of weights for obliques
- 1-set glutes
- 1-set lower back
I did a total of three pentapulets and got going with my day. There is a lot to be done today, and I hope I am on track to get it done.
So, we will meet tomorrow again. Till then, namaste!
And wish you all a lovely day!

Did You Know?
I had posted earlier that George Hood of the U.S. holds the record for the abdominal planks. That record stands at 8 hours 15 minutes and 15 seconds.
Here is a video of the man in action and receiving the Guinness Record certificate.
Watch and have fun:
Feeling inspired? Trying doing a three-minute plank to start with and then take it as much as you can go! 😊
