Launch America

Who watched the live stream of Launch America yesterday? What I loved most is the futuristic design of the spacesuits, and there's one interesting detail related to the US military protocol.

The flag patch on the right shoulder is displayed backward. It's actually part of the US Flag Code: "the American flag patch is to be worn, right or left shoulder, so that the star field faces forward, or to the flag's own right. When worn in this manner, the flag is facing to the observer's right and gives the effect of the flag flying in the breeze as the wearer moves forward."

So, always forward! Cool, isn't it?

I watched it. That was a nail-biter!

I am not a big fan of the nationalism and tribalism associated with the flags, but the suits do look awesome!

Looking forward to a successful launch and mission on Saturday.
