How to thrive by helping others

in hive-159906 •  4 years ago

We have been taught all our lives to take our own.

But you have already tried this. You already know where this will lead. In a world where everyone is seeking to gain, life becomes a struggle. The struggle for resources, money, likes and attention of others. A sad picture.

There is another way. The path of service and help. This is an interesting journey because every time we help others, we win. There are no losers in this game.

This is not easy to come to. But what comes easy? Only extra pounds from senseless lying on the couch.

Something within you knows that this is the right path. Because by helping others, we are helping ourselves.
Because behind a thousand faces and masks, we are all One.

Nobody likes unsolicited advice. But these are not tips, but practices to help you thrive.

Try them. They can change your life as they changed mine.

If you are a specialist in a helping profession (psychologist, consultant, coach) and you desperately need money to feed yourself or your family, find a job with a stable income.

When you communicate with a person, and thoughts are spinning in your head: "Will he buy from me or not?", Your focus is not on the interlocutor and the desire to help him, but on you.

You will be nervous.

The person will feel it.

This will affect the results.

You need an airbag in the form of money or a steady income that will help you focus on the customer in front of you, and not think about whether he will agree to buy from you.

This practice has changed my life. And that's the best dollar I've ever spent on a book.

It doesn't matter who you are - a coach, doctor, manager, or shop assistant. If you love what you do, wake up every morning with the thought “How can I become better at what I do?”, Work on it, people will feel it. After all, we feel when a person is really burning with what he is doing.

They say there are too many managers in Russia. But not those managers who love their work, their clients, their contribution. There cannot be too many such people. Such people are rare, they are worth their weight in gold.

I'd like to buy bread from a baker who loves to bake, get a haircut from a hairdresser who is passionate about it, and ride with a taxi driver who loves to drive. Pilots, psychologists, salespeople - any work done with love is a work of art. There are not many such people.

To continue helping people, you must prosper and earn decent living. If your business does not generate income, you will have to do something else (for example, get a job as a translator of computer games for the sake of money, as I once did) and the people you could help will not receive enough. This will hurt not only you, but all of your potential clients.
