In 2010, the world fell in love with a job. The Best Job in the World. It was a position so dreamy that more than 40,000 people applied for it. The competition was fierce and the challenges many, but Sam Romans from Sydney nailed it. As the fifth and final winner of this unique job competition, he received a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend six months working as a “Lodger” on idyllic Hamilton Island in Australia working at five different locations as part of an experience called “Reside”.
Sam spent his days diving with Whale Sharks, whale watching, hosting yachting parties at sunset or taking pictures of turtles for his blog; he even got to play golf with his favourite golfer Tiger Woods! This amazing story has been picked up and published by thousands of news sources around the globe including CNN and BBC News.
