Vietnam's Typical Sidewalk Trading Culture

Say Hi to all steemians. When having the opportunity to visit Vietnam, you will find it very surprising and interesting with the street vendors selling on the sidewalk. Believe me, this is the characteristic that makes Vietnamese more friendly and hospitable. In the past, Vietnam had very few supermarkets, so people mainly bought goods at local markets or shops on both sides of the sidewalk. This is a convenient and very simple way to buy-sell at a cheap price.

Street culture makes Vietnam lovely and friendly. When you don't know the way, ask a street vendor, they will show you very enthusiastically.
I have talked to many old women who have sold on the sidewalk for more than 50 years. She said that staying at home a lot is boring, going out to sell something and talk to people - from Hanoi was not developed to a developing city like today - is so interesting. She sells not to make money, but to enjoy her old age.

Having breakfast on the sidewalk is a typical image of Hanoi, Vietnam. Then they drink a cup of coffee which is served immediately. Trying this in front of a unique wall of grafity is so attractive and wonderful

Vietnamese people are very simple and sincere. Sellers are often old, they sell over the years and stick with their job for a long time. Coming to the pedestrian street around Sword Lake, you can meet the old men who are painting and capturing the lovely and vivid moments of their customers. The price of each painting is very cheap, only 50,000 VND (2$)

I am a lover of nostalgia, old fashioned. I like talking to the street vendors to understand a part of Vietnam in the past. I believe that this unique sale will never be lost and it will become a beautiful image of Vietnam in the eyes of international friends.
