WATCH: Is the Coronavirus travel ban really racist?

in hive-160867 •  5 years ago  (edited)

In an attempt to stop the spread of Coronavirus, Australia and other countries have introduced a travel ban from China.

The majority of Australians agree with the travel ban.

No one wants Coronavirus.

The Communist Party of China immediately reacted to the travel ban in anger, describing it as an "overreaction" and "racist".

However, watch (above) what local Chinese-Australians think.

What I found interesting is their responses were very different from the pro-CCP Chinese nationals that I interviewed that same day.

You can watch those here:

You could have shown all those Chinese people who said the opposite. You are doing exactly what the MSM do, editing to show what you want to show. Do you think that people are not aware of this ? And of course you always ask for money

This type of selective/edited street interviewing is exactly how the BBC used the cover Tommy Robinson rallies and demos. Come on, TR.News should be better than this.

Well, actually BBC were even cutting and swapping the texts, voice, and so on, they did much more than Avi. Avi did cut bits and pieces but I doubt that he cut out what he disliked to hear but rather what was repeated? I hope these Chinese are watching and see and would comment if they said something else significant. Here, we can see that they partly disagree. Possibility is, they did not go into all the long conversation to explain all the whys. For example, free housing and never jobless and stuff of the kind- I think that is Korea, but still, if these are advantages, basically, for a bit kind of slaving a total security provided, then why, many would be happy with that. Many may have same opinion with the government as well, so they would also see nothing to complain against. And to please everyone- that is impossible so here will always be people who will talk against. Then if we compare strict rules based on freedom of speech and demonstrating religion (no one will jail someone who believe in their hearts without showing it off), then we can see how such freedoms created a total mess in Europe, lots of hatred, racism and discrimination are caused by trying to please minorities, and those are so various, and demanding... Well, look at Britain and you will see the failure of Western Civilisation. So if someone looks at it they may decide Chinese way is better to prevent those horrors? I am just saying, I do not and did not live in China, I only know two of my cousins went to live there and they are very, very happy and do not plan to return to Europe. So to everyone its own but I do not think Avi will ever go such low level as BBC, more like RT :-D RT cuts things that suits them more but never ever lies :-D

Come on Avi, we know you are reading this why not reply ? Street interviews can be used to make any point. You know that more than most.
Stop patronising people, do you think we are stupid ?

In a way, I agree with these Chinese. Look how British 'Democratic' government treats Tommy Robinson and his supporters. Those against European Union. Veterans. Children are given away for pedophiles freely. You name it! And we have no say as we are basically almost always silenced, threatened, harrassed by the police and other members of government or if not them so they let the criminals harrass and terrorize us. So in a way, Democracy means nothing at all as it is almost dead. I could go on and on pointing even higher and deepen problems we have here, including innocent people being jailed, for example, remind me Tommy Robinson 'crimes' why was he jailed? China is still far away from Communism and they try to reach it using a bit of a force. Soviet Union used less force and control and yet it failed and China did not learn from other countries' failings. The fact is that Communism is only possible through the highest level education and the best possible morals. That way it becomes automatically, no one needs to form it or force it any more. We are mentally not ready for Communism. So I would quit all that this country has this and that country has that kind of government. Names of systems are far from correct so can't be counted as valid. And yes, China has many advantages and many disadvantages, same as Britain has many advantages and even more disadvantages. I would say, it is time to sit down around the table and have discussion about what works and what doesn't, what could be done better and so on instead of just pointing one way while many, many people are happy with this or that system and some will always be unhappy. That is normal and that is why we need various countries with various cultures so that instead of forcing something on the majority minority could migrate and join what suits them the most and where they could adapt and feel at home.
