Today I feel somewhat nostalgic. I've been contemplating how things switched since I've grown up. In 1976 the principal TV program circulated in South Africa. I was five, so we grew up playing outside and we had no concerns.

At the point when we are little the main thing that we need to be is grown up, yet since we will be, we wish that we could return.

I experienced childhood in a little sheltered town. I cherished school and I had a lot of companions. We lived near one another and we used to ride our bikes in the evenings, (without caps) without anybody stressing over where we were going, on the grounds that we had rules, and we tuned in to our folks. We made some particular memories to be at home, so we returned home with no bad things to say. Our folks consistently realized where to discover us.

I experienced childhood in a period where we didn't have TV in South Africa so we needed to keep ourselves occupied and we never said that we were exhausted. We didn't have cellphones, PCs or any of the innovation that we have today, and we endure impeccably well. I think I was in grade eight when we got our first PC.

The nearest thing to innovation we had were Walkman's and radio's. I sat on a Sunday early evening time recording the best twenty music hits, and it drove me crazy in light of the fact that the telecaster used to talk for the initial couple of moments when another melody began, and afterward you needed to rewind the tape and forward to get to precisely the correct spot to remove the voice of the supporter. Gosh, I should sound old however I'm in reality just in my forties.

We played occasional games at school. At specific occasions everybody would play with marbles, until the following new furor tagged along. Perhaps the greatest thing that intrigued me more than anything else were the Rubik's 3D shape, and we went through hours playing with that little block attempting to get all the hues together. I even had a slick stunt where I utilized a spoon to dismantle the square and afterward set up it back consummately.

We were extremely keen in the event that we had a sans hands game reassure. I recall that I had Donkeykong 2 and I played for a considerable length of time and hours just to get that little monkey to hop over the barrels.

Our greatest companions were our relatives and we used to play outside in the mud, fabricating little ranches with plastic toys in the flowerbeds and we were glad.

We were not stressed over anything, and now we stress over everything!

I would surrender a ton of what I have today, to simply turn around the time, to live in a more straightforward time when life had not so much pressure, but rather more fun.

Okay be eager to surrender innovation to return in time?

you think donkykong makes you old, I played Pong, when it was the Hot New thing.
I agree with the simpler times. I see kids today and wonder what it must be like to be a kid in this environment. Now days it is considered Child Neglect, if you let your kid walk to school. On the first day of Kindergarten, I was walked to school to show me where it was. The second day of Kindergarten, I walked by myself. Try that today and the parents would be in jail.

Our parents were stressed then though. I grew up in the US, and I imagine the 70's were not easy for adults in South Africa, no more than they were easy for adults in the US. Kids have it easy as long as school is going well for them.
