It’s highly unlikely that I’d be able to continue planting more crops before the end of this year since the chickens keep on messing up the whole thing. I don’t hate them as much as I hated garden pests, but when it comes to my crops, they make me see red.
One time I was transplanting bokchoy, I saw them walking all over the place, scratching off the mulch around my flowers. There’s this one particular chicken that I happen to get a closer look at and I noticed it has extra toes on each foot. It looks funny, makes you think it suffers from some kind of deformity or something, but this one looks just fine, it had nice feather pattern as well. I picked up a pebble and threw it in its direction; it scurred away hastily, but only a second passed, it’s back again clueless of my rage. I threw another, but same thing happened. These damn chickens.
I finished transplanting, covered the bed with a garden net lest these stupid chickens try to do some excavations and mess everything up again. I tossed one last pebble at them before heading to the city. Another day at the farm.
