Prompt: Government institutions

The government institutions are supposed to be organizations that work for the people, collecting taxes and taking care of offering the services that they must ensure to keep functioning properly.

For me they represent long lines and wasted time. I remember when I have attended many times to renew a document or even pay taxes, all the time spent in long queues, so that later when you get to carry out the procedure they tell you that you lack some collection or that they will give you what you need several months later .

Currently that happens when the identity document or passport is going to be renewed. You have to attend early in the morning to see if the procedure can be done, and overcome all the requirements that they ask you for it.

It is a nuisance to do procedures in government institutions, and I suppose that the feeling is the same in any country, and personally I do not like to participate in these procedures because they tend to be a headache.

The correct thing is that they are quick procedures and that what you are going to do is achieved, but this is not the case in most cases, and the common citizen is the one who ends up wasting all his time.

Not long ago, in the US, our brilliant congresspersons passed a law called The Reduction of Paperwork Act. It won't surprise you that after that, we all had much more paperwork to do. Every step we takes requires permission from some government entity or other. It's absurd. Nice freewrite.
