Every morning the voice of the Imam could be heard from miles afar as he called for morning prayers. Gradually the voice of the Imam has become my morning alarm and at the sound of his voice, I wake up every morning.
In the afternoons I would sit in the balcony of the hotel where I was lodged and watch the men of the town leave whatever they are doing to rush down to the mosque for their prayers, my oh my, it was really a sight to behold.
I have come to notice that the mosque is a very important building in the town. The men of the town would always gather at the mosque in the evenings to discuss and tell stories about the day and their experiences. On the other side of the mosque, little children gather around their tutor who teaches them the arabic language and also how to recite the Qouran.
This town is a very quiet town living peacefully, with the mosque at the center of it all.

I have strong doubts about teaching arabic. I know many muslims but they don't speak or read arabic.
