Glare

I have been wearing sunglasses for years. Light hurts my eyes and walking around all day with a frown because I keep squeezing my eyes shut is also a problem.
For a long time, I had a kind of light allergy that made me walk around with sunglasses in a dark house. There is definitely something wrong with my eyes. Even when I sleep, I can still see light if I do not cover my eyes with a black cloth.
Recently, I read something about a lack of vitamin D and the tanning of the skin. In today's man, the lack of vitamin D is four times higher than before. People are also becoming less brown. This is partly due to the fact that people wear too many clothes while sitting indoors. Wearing sunglasses also appears to be a reason why people do not get as tanned and vitamin D is not sufficiently produced. Those who wear sunglasses do not see as much glare and so our brains miss certain messages that are necessary to know when to go in and out of the sun.
So it is healthier for us humans to go out in fine weather, scantily clad, without sunscreen and sunglasses.
To be honest, what this study says makes sense to me. I wear sunglasses less and less often, both indoors and out. I hope that my brain can still register what it needs to register and secretly hope that I won't be bothered by it any more. Bright light from outside or a lamp still hurts my eyes, but I notice that I can tolerate light better and better. It is still dark in some places indoors because that gives me peace of mind, but I no longer wear sunglasses and I don't cover up my eyes when I sleep.
I hope I can get enough vitamin D now that I am spending more hours every day outside gardening. This is not in full sunlight because it is cloudy, but that doesn't bother me.
Today I pulled weeds, mowed and cut down some tall trees that were too close to the house. I still pinch my eyes a lot but I hope that will change too.
