In the last episode, Helena finished her book which she called: Orphan black. She says she starts with the threat where Sarah (her twin sister) meets herself at the train station.
It's Sarah who sees a woman jump in front of the train (Beth), steals her identity and with that act the chaos in her life is complete but she also finds a purpose in her life.
Orphan Black is about clones.
The women (Leda, let's say project Leda) are clones and later it turns out there are cloned men too (Castor) who turn out to be the brothers of these women. How this can be possible I will not tell you since I think this series is interesting enough to watch yourself (see Netflix).
What doesn't make sense to me is that these clones are so different.
Indeed the way you are raised does influence one's acts, and future which is clear if we see what became out of Helena (my favourite) and Cosima (to start with) but how can it be Cosima can't see without glasses and the other 247 female clones can? How can it be not one of the male clones that need glasses?
It feels to me the clones are not the same since with exactly the same DNA they should have had more in common.
It's Sarah in this series who, with help of her brother Felix (both foster children being adopted by Siobhan) goes after the creators (Beth started with it) with help of Beth's college (a cop) Arthur. Although I fell asleep a few times (too tired) I loved each season and it wasn't boring once.
Slowly the clones become closer and change but they are still different people and for some reason, Sarah and Helena (the twins) aren't closer (the feeling the child Kira has is clearly not present in Sarah).
In the light of the present time clones aren't something new nor is a change of DNA, being chipped (Rachel's new eye is a window of opportunity for the creator who is a liar) or keeping your own evolution in your own hands (grow a tail, have one white eye...). Just like today, there's a small group of rich people who reign and the Eugenics play a role while children with the wrong DNA, and failures are killed to hide the fact the new technology isn't as perfect as they claim it is.
Loved this show. The acting was phenomenal. And I think they credited Cosima needing glasses to her studying so much lol

The acting was indeed.
That's why Cosima needed glasses! Thanks for stopping by.
