Thoughts about a medal

Is a medal important? To some it is to me it is't since it's just a coin made of iron, silver, or plastic and not even always proof of an achievement. We've seen that in the past two years. What is a sport event, championship worth is a part is not allowed to join and it's between jabbed, unhealthy people who drop dead any minute only? But also long before that c19 jab sport was't about what men could do with his own strength but about cheating for the money a high sum of money. Drugs and the wrong attitude is what drives, no honour, no pride, no taking care of one's health and admit you can't do better.
The sportsman complains, denies and does everything to get that medal, dirty tricks included.
I don't care about medals since a medal says nothing about me plus once at the top you can only fall. I don't see any point in doing my stinking best, give more than 200% just to get a ribbon with a medal. Is a medal worth a certain amount of money? Is the silver one for example 10,000 euros and the golden medal 25,000 euros if you sell it?

What if you are a (war) hero and received a medal for that and history changes and you are suddenly an enemy of the state?
