The Diary Game Season 3 (08-18-2021) | Rainy Morning and MIL Misses Matti

I woke up to the sound of the raindrops falling on our rooftop, like literally and I know the rain started last night and I was excited to go out of the room because when there's rain, the plants and leaves would definitely have drain drops in them and it is just very relaxing to my eyes when I get to see this view.

And so it's indeed there! Droplets of water hanging in the leaves! It's just a lovely sight! Is it just me? I hope you reading this blog is also into that. Let's do a high five then!

Anyway, what's also good about rains at night is it clears the dust off our pathway, the leaves of the trees are freed from the dirt and the land is watered, the plants are refreshed and it is also cold. I would prefer this type of weather, I hope it would also rain in the afternoon after lunch but no, it didn't. So let me tell you what happened today.

At breakfast, Matti ate his pancakes well. He even used his OXOtot Spoon and Fork set but ditched the spoon. He now tries to put food into his mouth with the fork which is good. He also uses a Bollie Baby silicon cup with a straw but I noticed that he is not able to drink much water compared to the previous bottle so I tried taking the cap and straw out and let him drink straight from the brim. He is now better compared to last week. I guess it won't take long before he can master drinking from there.

In the afternoon, my mother in law messaged me that she misses Matti and asked for pictures. I sent her video clips and photos too and then I realized it would be better if it's a video call so I suggested it and good thing the MIL had a better connection today.

My husband went inside our room and continued the call. Matti was making faces, calling out "nanay" and was very talkative. We couldn't understand what he was saying but we believe he was trying to communicate!

The call went on for around 30 minutes. Matti recognized his cousin and even called her "baby", he does whenever he sees a baby, he even points to his photo when he was still a newborn and calls himself baby too.

In the evening, I cooked misua and tried offering it to Matti. He loved it and had eaten a lot of servings! I guess he likes it because the misua has a pasta-like consistency but the threads are thinner and smaller which is perfect for kids like him.

Dinner ended with a lot of leftover rice. Tomorrow, we will have fried rice according to my mother. Matti's high chair was also filled with misua. The only problem right now is cleaning up. Well, that's part of being a mother and I am not complaining at all!
