The love between husband and wife can be a driving force that helps the realization of something that is prescribed by Allah through marriage and milk yamin, namely the nature of 'iffah. Through marriage, it is hoped that a man will be able to protect himself from being attracted to other women which is unlawful for him, as well as for women. Then the stronger the love between husband and wife, the greater the possibility for the realization of wisdom and the purpose of marriage.

So love is not forbidden, even under certain conditions it becomes a driving force for the realization of obedience and a stronghold for the occurrence of disobedience.

The Prophet Muhammad also had love for women. In the hadith the Prophet said:

"Make love for me from your world women and fragrances and make my heart cool in prayer"

So it is not a problem at all for a husband to love his wife even to always miss her, unless it keeps him busy from doing more useful things, such as love of Allah and His Messenger, then this kind of love is reprehensible. But if love actually becomes a reinforcement for the realization of love for Allah and the Messenger, this love is a commendable law and is encouraged. Sometimes the anxiety and emptiness of love is also the cause of the emptiness of mahabbah to Allah.

Love is basically considered something that is tabi'at (tabi'iyyah) which depends on the intention and qasad of the Sahib for what he loves. If the intention is to help strong in carrying out Allah's commands, then it becomes qurbah (obedient). If it is done based on the law of character or inclination, it will not be rewarded and will not be punished. Same thing as eating and drinking. Shahibuz Zubad said;

"If it is intended to eat to give strength in obedience to Allah, he will be rewarded for what he intended."

Therefore, love needs to be managed, so that it is not only pleasing to the soul, but also adds to the coffers of reward.
