For the last two years I have taught Adabul Alim Wal Muta'allim by Hadratus Shaykh Kyai Hasyim Asy'ari as an alternative to the legendary Ta'limul Muta'allim. Both are books about the morals of students to their teachers. The difference is that the book mentioned above provides more detailed practical examples for students to do and also adds etiquette for teachers. What I used was a handwritten version which was previously the only version available on the market.

It was great to know that this year's Maktabah Turmusy managed by Ust. Yusuf Arbi published this masterpiece of Hadratus Shaykh in a computer-typed version because it is easier to read. In addition to the hard cover, this new print was added with tahqiq and takhrij hadith by Ust. Dr. Luqman Hakim لقمان الحكيم الأزهري from Lombok as seen in the SS. Each verse is equipped with the name of the letter and verse number, the hadith is equipped with the status of Takhrij and the quote from the ulama's sayings mentions where the primary reference is from. At the end, several pages contain taqridh (reviews) of several prominent figures and a list of bibliography. This kind of information is very useful for readers who want to do an in-depth study.
