Like most other countries in the world, in Japan there is something different to see everywhere. Modern, colorful cities alternate with castles, temples and shrines, and the island nation here in the Far East also has a lot to offer. culturally. But every now and then I just like to drift through the countryside, far from the cities and close to the pulse of the country. The nature and the landscape are often the real star, so close to the actual heart of Japan I often understands much better how everything comes together.

In particular, the vast rice paddies always manage to convey just that special feeling. In September, the rice in the fields was golden and yellow and ready for harvest, forming a wonderful contrast to the blue sky.

In the middle of the country, as here in the Aizu region, with its smooth and rolling mountains and its dense forests, you can always see the special magic of this land, which has accompanied and guided me so many times.

The focus in is not on the new and modern Japan, but more on the green heart of the country. A little more traditional and calm, and much more relaxing and soulful than the big metropolises on the coast. It's exactly this variety that I love so much about Japan.

Wie in den meisten anderen Ländern der Welt gibt es auch in Japan überall etwas anderes zu sehen. Moderne, bunte Städte wechseln sich ab mit Burgen, Tempeln und Schreinen, und auch kulturell hat das Inselreich hier im fernen Osten eine Menge zu bieten. Aber ab und zu mag ich es einfach, mich durch die Gegend treiben zu lassen, fern der Städte und dafür ganz nah am eigentlichen Puls des Landes. Die Natur und die Landschaft sind oft der eigentliche Star, so nah am eigentlichen Puls Japans versteht man oft viel besser, wie hier alles so zusammengehört.

Insbesondere die weiten Reisfelder schaffen es immer wieder, genau dieses Gefühl zu vermitteln. Goldgelb und bereit für die Ernet stand der Reis im September auf den Feldern und bildete einen wundervollen Kontrast zum blauen Himmel.

In der Mitte des Landes, so wie hier in der Aizu-Region, mit seinen runden und geschwungenen Bergen und den dichten Wäldern zeigt sich immer wieder der besondere Charme dieses Landes, der mich schon so oft begleitet und geleitet hat.

Hier steht nicht das neue und moderne Japan im Vordergrund, sondern das oft grüne Herz des Landes. Ein wenig traditioneller und ruhiger, und viel entspannender und sinnlicher als in den Metropolen an der Küste. Genau diese Abwechslung liebe ich ja auch so an Japan.

I then stand there with a big smile on my face, and I immediately know why I have grown so fond of this country. And why I will continue searching for the pulse and soul of Japan.

Manchmal bin ich einfach nur unterwegs und schaue mich um, und sehe so viel echte Schönheit überall. Meist braucht es gar nicht viel, um mich zu begeistern . Die kleinen feinen Dinge berühren mich am meisten. Wenn dann wie hier im Licht der untergehenden Sonne dieser kleine rote Zug an den goldgelben Feldern vorbeirauscht, halte ich doch gerne an und inne und schaue mir dieses reizende Schauspiel ganz in Ruhe an. Und wenn ich dann dort so stehe, mit einem großen Lächeln im Gesicht, weiß ich sofort, warum mir die dieses Land so sehr ans Herz gewachsen ist. Und warum ich auch weiterhin nach der Seele und dem Puls Japans suchen werde.
