Good day lovely Steemians in #SteemJapan!!! The weather is nice and today is a good day to go outside and have fun. A good day to do the things we wanted to do and play some of our favorite indoor and outdoor sports.
Talking about favorite sports well I do have one in mind and that's the " Volleyball " which I am very fond of eversince I was in 6th grade. I used to be a member of a volleyball team in our school way back when I was in 6th grade ( no photos to show off though ✌🏼). I love watching my schoolmates playing volleyball, so I mastered up my courage and auditioned to be a part of their team and luckily I got accepted. Unfortunately I wasn't able to compete because I quit after weeks of training to focus more on my studies. Although I quit early and didn't joined in a volleyball team again later when I was in highschool eventhough I had the chance, I didn't stop loving the sport up until now. I may not actively engaged in this sport but I still love watching it on TV specially the " Women's Volleyball ".
A Short History of Volleyball

Volleyball is a sport invented by William G. Morgan in Holyoke Massachusets on 1895. Originally known as "Mintonette" but later on changed to " Volley Ball " which means " an act of keeping the ball in movement over a high net, from one side to the other. " The game is played by two teams, usually of six players on a side, in which the players use their hands to bat a ball back and forth over a high net, trying to make the ball touch the court within the opponents’ playing area before it can be returned. To prevent this a player on the opposing team bats the ball up and toward a teammate before it touches the court surface. The game became widely known all over the world and was introduced in an International Competition in 1913 and later on became an official Olympic sport at the
Olympic Games Tokyo on 1964.

Anually there's a Volleyball Tournament here in the Philippines the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Volleyball Tournament the most awaited and most watched tournament of the year, participated by well-known universities competing in a volleyball tournament to reign as UAAP Champion of the Year.
Personally I really love to watch the tournamnent especially " Women's Volleyball " and idolized these two valuable players in their respective universities.

Thoughts
Sports are very entertaining and it's fun. It's commendable to engage in sports once in a while because it's a good form of exercise and it's beneficial to our health. We can always play sports even in our wide-spaced backyard if our only goal is to be physically active and not to win any professional tournaments or competitions 😁
Happy Olympics Japan!!!!!
Always,
