I will try to review one of the mosques in the city of Banda Aceh that has a unique joint in the dome. This mosque is called the Sheikh Abdurrauf Mosque. This mosque was rebuilt after the tsunami in 2004 where the design resembles the old Indrapuri mosque. This mosque has a triangular dome that is different from the usual flat or round dome design. This mosque was founded by Sheikh Abdurrauf who studied from Singkil to Banda Aceh. Now this mosque has been expanded again at the back for female worshipers to pray and do wudhu.

The inside of the mosque is divided into two parts: lower and upper. The lower part is used for men to pray and the upper part is used for women to worship. The upper part for women is a widening of the mosque area because the worshipers who come are very crowded. This mosque makes everyone who enters comfortable and at home in it.

The mosque's khutbah pulpit is not too tall and large. It is made of iron painted in gray, identical to the color of the mosque floor. This pulpit has been here for a long time and is still durable today. Usually this pulpit is used to give tausiyah at Friday prayers, tarawih nights and Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

I performed the zuhur prayer in this mosque. The mosque is very comfortable and cool because the air conditioner is always on and the prayer mat is also soft so that we don't feel pain when prostrating.

The upper front of the mosque has a digital information board. This board contains the date, prayer imam, muezzin, preacher, savings balance, used balance and final balance of the mosque. The information here is constantly updated so that we as general worshipers can see the transparency of the mosque's finances.

A charity box is provided near the exit of the mosque. This charity box is chained so as not to be taken by thieves or irresponsible people. In addition to the charity box near the exit, there is also a small charity box that is always circulated after the fard prayers.

The Sheikh Abdurauf Mosque facilities include fans and air conditioners. This mosque is closed with no ventilation, all glass so that this mosque is also famous among the people of Banda Aceh as the Glass Mosque. The air conditioner is also large so that the wind released is also large making visitors still feel cool and comfortable worshiping, coupled with a fan from above making worshipers want to return to worship in this mosque.

Other facilities include ablution stations and toilets. Ablution stations are available for men and women, as well as male and female toilets. The ablutions are clean and the water comes out fast, so the ablution process can also run solemnly and perfectly. The water never fails in this mosque.

There is a place to put sandals and shoes in this mosque so that they are neat and not lost. Above it there is something like a seat so that the congregation who wants to take off their shoes can sit comfortably on the place provided.

The courtyard of this mosque is very spacious, large numbers of cars can be accommodated without having to jostle and think about where to park if praying in this mosque. Usually visitors are crowded at Maghrib prayer time because this mosque is near a tourist spot.
