2.Dashashwamedh Ghat

Legend has it that here while Lord Brahma was performing a yagna, he sacrificed ten horses and created a ghat while greeting Lord Shiva. In the evening, the famous 'Ganga Aarti' is performed here for about 45 minutes. There is also a bustling market along the Ghat River where eager traders sell from dawn to dusk. 3.Chet Singh Ghat
Varanasi's ghats are known all over the world for their mystical charm. The Chet Singh Ghat is also of historical importance. The Ghats witnessed one of the bloodiest battles in Indian history. The battle took place in 1781 AD between Raja Chet Singh and the British. The landmark is a fortified ghat, whose walls reveal the history, depth and cruelty of the time. It is further divided into four ghats: Shivara Ghat, Niranjani Ghat, Chet Singh Ghat and Nirvani Ghat. Swimming is not recommended here as the river currents are very strong.
4.Maan Mandir Ghatt
The Maan Mandir Ghat presents a composition that combines Rajput and Mughal motifs. Also known as Someshwar Ghat, it was built in 1600. This ghat is different from other ghats in the city in that it has a stone solar observatory. The name Man Mandir comes from Raja Maan Singh, the ancestor of the ghat creator. There is also a grand palace near the ghat. This landmark is a classic representation of Rajasthani architecture. 5.Sindhia Ghat
