Greetings fellow travellers in the Steemit travel community. Welcome to my blog where I will be talking about one of the famous places to visit in Cameroon if you are a lover of animals.
It is no other place than the Limbe Wildlife Centre. To further give more info about this place follow me below 👇as I give an analysis of the place following the guidelines provided in the contest.
Location.
The Limbe Wildlife Center is located in the South West region of Cameroon. I will say Limbe is not the capital city of the South West region but when compared to the capital city of this region, one will think Limbe is the capital city due to its fast advancement in terms of development.
The town is blessed with not only a wildlife centre but also available is a botanical garden just adjacent to the wildlife centre, the former slave trade centre and a host of beaches both natural and artificial.
Access to travel or transportation to the location.
For those out of the country, one can travel by air to either Douala International Airport or the Yaounde Nsimalen Airport. For ok on there you can take a bus to Limbe or a personal car depending on your finances.
For those within the country, for instance, I can travel by bus by night or day depending on my choice. I arrived in Limbe by night if I travel during the day or in the morning if I travel by night from my region of residence. No flights or trains are moving into Limbe.
The only means of transportation to Limbe is either by bus or by private car.
Tickets/fees.
There are different fees paid to enter the wildlife centre for kids, nationals adults and non-nationals.
For adult nationals, we paid 500FCFA (approximately 3.97 steem at the current rate).
For children less than 10 years and nationals paid 300FCFA (approximately 2.38 steem at the current rate).
For Non- nationals adults, pay 3000FCFA (approximately 23.84steem at the current market rates)
Non-national children less than 10 years pay 500FCFA.
Entering with a video camera to take videos around the centre, you pay 2000FCFA (that is about 15.90 steem at the current market rates).
Notwithstanding, you are allowed to take pictures for free.
Facilities/conditions.
The area is well secured with a police station at the centre for any security issues.
There are a variety of animals in the park ranging from chimpanzees, gorillas, drill, pythons, crocodiles, etc.
There is also a museum at the centre which is like an archive where animals' skeletons are preserved.
It also has a well-furnished restroom for visitors to use while at the park. Also present is a restaurant where you could eat in case you are hungry.
Activities you do when in nature.
At the centre, you could observe how the conservators communicate with animals, especially during the hours they feed the animals.
Taking pictures around with some of the friendly animals is amazing but do not try to go closer to an angry animal. The rest will be history to be told about your presence at the centre 🤣😂.
You are allowed to request a conservator to tour the centre with you guys around the centre and give lectures about some of the animals, how they come about to the centre, their brief history and the to-dos and Do nots at the centre.
What moments of joy and sorrow do you feel.
I felt so happy seeing some of those animals live for the first time, especially the endangered species.
It was joyful seeing how conservators communicate with the animals as they were hungry and they wanted to give them food.
The only sorrowful moment I felt was when we were taken to the centre’s isolation centre where sick animals are kept. There was a sick Drill (hypertension caused by obesity.) She was isolated and kept under medical treatment. We were told, the chances of survival were low and she will eventually die.
Thank you all for reading and I hope we all will one day find pleasure to visit the centre. The town is friendly and there are different varieties of foods. Good hotels and guest houses are available. I am inviting my friends @paholags, @m-fdo, @ayijufridar, @abialfatih and @anroja to share their entries to this challenge.
Thank you, friend!

¡Saludos amiga!😊
Que buen lugar el que nos describe. Me encantan los zoológicos porque, a parte de ver los animales que ya conocemos, descubrimos nuevas especies y, eso hace que nuestro aprendizaje se amplíe.
Un fuerte abrazo💚

You are right, my friend, visiting the centre is a privilege to see a variety of wild animals. It is like a learning field moving around with conservators giving explicit explanations about the different animals.
