Best Travel Moment 1- Tourism Visit to Olumirin

The first travel moment for me on this day's entry into the contest is about my tourism visit to Olumirin Water Fall located in a town known as Erin-Ijesha which is about 55 Km from my City of residence. According to What3words, the Olumirin waterfall is located here.

There are a few things that make my time at the Olumirin waterfall a quite memorable one-

  • It's the first waterfall I've ever visited.

  • It has seven layers with a village at the top of the last layer.

  • It's one of the few places that have preserved culture for the town and state it was located.

The journey to this waterfall occurred on the 11th of January 2022 when I left home in the early hours of the day to explore the beauty of nature.

Took a few pictures at arrival

I enjoyed a very good time at the waterfall, even with the intensity of that falling water, I had a great feeling under the effect of the running water which was the first of its kind.

My time under the free falling water at the first layer

I met with other tourists at the water fall, notably a Norwegian tourist who bears the name, Øivind, he told me he has visited the state to see how culture is being preserved while he sounds like he cherishes places where olden culture is still maintained. Lest I forget, Olumirin waterfall is also known for soul cleansing back in the olden days.

The overall experience at the Olumirin waterfall was an amazing one for me. It's worth documenting it in this piece.

Best Travel Moment 2- Visit to Alma Mater

The second travel moment I would be sharing in this contest today was all about my recent travel to my Alma Mater, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso. By What3words, the university is located here. This is the University where I obtained my B. Tech in Agricultural engineering and I have not visited since 2019.

My journey to the university was on the 12th of September 2022 and the main reason for embarking on the journey was to collect my Bachelor's degree certificate which has remained with the university since my graduation a few years ago. It's amazing to be back at the university once again.

During the visit, I had the opportunity to walk around the campus and took a few pictures, it brings back a lot of memories of years, you can understand the feelings of visiting again having spent many years studying here earlier.

Taking a few pictures on Campus

Why the Travel was Memorable

  • It feels so great to visit the university once again after a few years I had stayed away after graduation.

  • Through this visit, I was able to collect my Bachelor's Degree certificate which remains permanently my property.

Best Travel Moment 3- Easter Celebration

The third moment I would be sharing today is about my traveling back home sometime ago to spend the Easter period with my parents, this is very rare for me to travel home at that time of the year. Over the years, during my university days, I have only traveled home for Christmas which means I visit home during the end of the year so traveling home during the Easter period this time is special for me.

I traveled home for the Easter celebration on the 2nd of April 2021 and this time, it was at my hometown, precisely to spend time with my parent. My hometown is a village known as Ilero in Oyo state of the federation, which is located here.

My parents were happy to have me around at that time of the year while I also utilized the time to visit a local cassava processing firm (Niji Foods) where I was able to see similar agricultural machines I had been part of their fabrications during my Industrial training days being utilized for food processing at the firm.

The pictures above were taken at the Niji Foods factory located here. The second day was followed by the Easter celebration where I enjoyed the time with my family.

This is a picture taken with mom and dad on the Easter's day in 2021, at the hometown. We had taken even more pictures with the neighbors on that day which sum up the beautiful time spent with my people during the celebration period.

Very interesting trip prof, but a bit of a test of guts,
The waterfall, wow, gives positive energy when I see it, but I'm afraid because I can't swim, doesn't jumping from a place like that have to be skilled?
Wow, other trips are also very impressive, right?
Wish you always success👍

Yes, they are all very interesting trips for me. Well, I guess you are aquaphobia in nature, we have a few people like that. Thanks for your time around here, @liasteem.
