Hello steemians,

From time to time I try to make new discoveries, new adventures and travel to parts of my country where I have never been before, to try new things. This is why I liked this concept to evaluate what I achieved and the highlights that distinguished me during these periods. So I would like to thank the Steemit Travel community for this opportunity to express all this.

My Best Moment 1 : Tabarka

My first visit was to the coastal town of Tabarka, where I visited many places. After settling into the hotel and recovering well for a good night's sleep, I set out to explore the city center, ideal for strolling and taking photos. The traditional secondary roads that make up some neighborhoods give Tabarka its charm, especially the cobbled sidewalks. At every corner, it is easy to find restaurants and shops selling local products or souvenirs. The articles are so diverse that it would be difficult not to be attracted by two or three things.

And before reaching the city center, we visited the needles of Tabarka, a unique place located in the coastal region of the city, Iber Tabarka. These needles have a height of more than 20 meters, they are the result of erosion caused by the sea, and when you look closely, you can see sharp and pierced edges, which give them a particular appearance. Erosion has also left numerous traces at its bases, the most important of which are the sandstone benches. Tourists love to go around the sites of the Aiguilles de Tabarka not only to admire them but also to have a panoramic view of the sea, moreover, the access roads to this site open onto the bay and allow to see away the fort, perched on a hill.

I also strolled along the beaches As Tabarka is located near the sea, it is only natural that swimming and water sports are among your favorite pastimes during the holidays. Those who live close to the city center can jog in the morning and soak up the midday sun on the city beach. Families also have the opportunity to go to the beaches of the Old Port.

My Best Moment 2: Tozeur

My second trip was in the desert south of Tunisia. We follow the blurred contours of the desert to reach Tozeur, in the far west of the country, where the hills flatten as if the sun has crushed them, and where the villages diverge further and further.

Shortly before Tozeur, we passed a huge lake, Chott el-Jerid. And we follow, very naively, the path that cuts the extension in the middle. These minor details should give us a hint, because this is what we get as a blessing:

Even the beaches of Normandy at low tide are less extensive. Don't panic, we spot water far on the horizon. We're getting close... evaporate. We turn... She is behind! Damn, the effect of the mirage is enormous in this area. In the heart of the former lake, there was no longer a plant that dared to grow. And for good reason, the earth is covered with a thick white crust. We are in an authentic salt desert!

To our surprise, the holes on the side of the road filled up with water. Reddish water full of salt crystals. Just dig a little to find it thus, the lake is not completely empty, it resorts to the surface to better withstand summer. Around Tozeur minus 25 km, the end of the lake began to be announced. We see first palm groves, first dancing on the mirage, then very real. About 400,000 palm trees thrive around Tozeur, producing enough dates for worldwide export.

Tozeur's specialty, after the course date, is sand-colored briquette. The walls in the center are covered with it, which show elegant decorations that are supposed to reduce the power of the sun. It's fine to take any trick in an area where the thermometer has a swing around fifty degrees in the summer.

Outside the city, we don't find much interest in Tozeur. Oh yeah, we were going to forget the palm grove! Locating the main entrance is easy, as there are many horse-drawn carriages waiting for any tourist to ride. We prefer to explore the plots on foot and choose a secondary entrance that allows us to get to know the forest in its beautiful detail.

My Best Moment 3 : Rafraf

Last summer I spent a long weekend in Rafraf with some friends. Rafraf for my non-Tunisian friends (or who they are and who don't know! Who knows!) is a small town located about sixty kilometers from Tunis (an hour's drive away). It is backed by a mountain and overlooks the beach, that is the charm of the place.

There is nothing more than pictures to show you what I'm talking about.

The sea was calm, perfectly clear turquoise, the sky was a wonderful clear blue, and the temperature of the water and air was perfect. Almost deserted beach. The invitation was very big and the memory of the beautiful swimming came back to life ... In short, I could not resist: I threw myself into the water, I was having a hard time swimming. Swimming that brought me back to my childhood memories when I was like Robinson Crusoe on his desert island!
