Our few days in Budapest were drawing to a close, so we spent the final day rediscovering the laneways and sights that we had passed in the last couple of days. There were quite a few bronze satues scattered around the city which added a touch of culture to the streetscape.
Also, beside the art there was the occasional street artist adding atmosphere to our walk. It is always enjoyable listening to these artists as they are very proficient with their instruments and create a pleasant vibe to the area.
Even though the central city itself is not huge, we still managed to find new areas to explore on our final day. Due to lack of time, we did not venture further out to explore the outskirts and the suburbs. Maybe next time.
Morning became afternoon, which turned into night. So much yo see and so little time and suddenly it was time to eat. A ocal restaurant was recommended to us. The food was simple and delicious. The restaurant also had an interesting chandelier light made out of wine glasses. After our meal we reired to our hotel, exhausted from all of our foot slogging around the city, but anticipating what was to come.
