This is @nabilanusrat, from #Bangladesh.
How are you all my Steemit friends? I hope you are well. I am also blessed with your prayers and love. Today, I will share a new blog with you. Today, I will talk about Pottery.
Every country in the world has its art and culture. The identity of this art and culture knows the country or nation. The contribution of each country or government is behind the spread of each industry. One such industry is pottery. 'pottery' combines 'pottery' and 'craft'. "soil" means earth or soil, and "art" here refers to beautiful and creative objects. That is why all the arts made of clay can be called clay art. Those involved in this type of work are called Kumar. The traditional pottery of village Bengal passed down from ancient times, is on the verge of extinction. In the past, the value of earthenware made by the Sunipan craftsman of the village was much higher. This environmentally friendly art was adorned in every house in the town. A glass of water from an earthen pitcher in summer would remove all fatigue. Today, it is lost due to the touch of modernity. The area's potters used to make various types of pottery, such as pots, pitchers, flower tubs, pots, bowls, curd paste, decorative beads, clay banks, and children's toys. The primary materials of this industry are atel soil, firewood, dry grass, straw and sand.

This industry has been used in our country since the early days. Many items, including burnt clay works, daily household items, dolls, toys, idols, portraits, tops, and showpieces, are still being made in Kumarshala to meet customers' needs. Once upon a time, if someone was given a pot made of clay or an idol of Ganesha, the artist was given as much rice as he could hold in that pot or idol. Different types of furniture made of clay, chairs, tables, etc., are in great demand today. Additionally, one can readily find women's jewellery made of different clays at national fairs and in several stores.
The reasons for the destruction of the pottery industry today due to some particular reasons are: |
---|
Not being aware of its adequate demand in the market.
Keep the scope of their work the same in changing conditions.
Lack of innovation in industrial structure and design.
Use of traditional colors.
Lack of promotion.
Follow traditional methods.
Lack of adequate training.
The government and various non-governmental organizations can take some steps to bring back the lost charm of the pottery industry. |
---|
Like other industries, the pottery industry has to provide adequate supply as per the demand in the market.
A wide variety of design products should be provided in the market.
Instead of working with one colour, work with different colours.
A pottery market can be established in every district.
"Kick wheel" should be used instead of the traditional wheel method for perfect production results.
