Greeting fellow Entrepreneurs,
I want to welcome you all to my blog. This is my first post to this community. This community was highly recommended to me by @swaylee as literally the best community on this space . My name is Daniel Okoye, I'm a native of Awka-Etiti, Anambra state in Nigeria. I am currently residing in Kaduna state . I am a student of the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka and I'm currently in my 300 level and at the same time I am an apprentice under my dad in his building material business that is located in kaduna

Throughout my childhood my dad takes me along with him to his shop which made me develop a strong interest in his business. I would say my childhood wasn't all rosy because i didn't have all my time to myself like my peers did, rather it was dedicated to learning this trade. It has helped me in the sense that i don't just stay idle during the holidays. It has been like this since my secondary school days, I assist my dad during the holidays in his shop. I know so much about the business that I fit in for him while he is away .
We trade on building materials, plumbing materials to be precise. He is also a building contractor so he takes me along with him to his building site sometimes to gain first hand experience on how some of this fittings are used .

Humble me on duty 😌 doing what I know how to do best

This business has been saving lives since forever, you wont believe how many people depends on the proceeds from this shop . That's why my father has mandated all his children to be a part of the business and with the amount of time I've spent here you could literally say I'm a part of the store. Owing to the fact that it's not my business, I also intend to share my experience with you all and even some tips for entrepreneurs alike. So I hope to be a full member of this community.
Some days back my cousin @swaylee came around and did a review on the shop incase you want to take a look.

Objective of the business

In time past around where I live in kaduna before you get basic plumbing stuff for minor house repairs youll need to start travelling kilometers to get them ,incuring extra expenses on transport and it is also time consuming. That was a big problem and needed urgent solution . It made by dad think of opening a plumbing store around the neighbourhood ,supply them their needs and make profit off them . Its a win win situation and everybody is happy 😊. He then started in a small scale then over the years he continued to grow until he's business name became a household name in the state .
Literally we sell quality stuffs at good prices which has brought people from far and wide to patronise us .

Vision of the business

The business is still in its early stages of evolution and much more can be done to make it better . In the future we hope to opening more branches nationwide ,delve into importation of our goods from china because currently all our goods are sourced locally . Afterwards we'll like to add tiles and doors to what we sell so that our store can become a one stop shop for building engineers ,so they wouldn't have to go elsewhere to buy these stuffs.

Mission of the business

The mission of this business is to help subsidise the cost of transportation, aims at leading the building material market in years to come for a healthy and beautiful home . Our building materials are pocket friendly, environmental friendly ,energy efficient and our business system is quite innovative
