Last year I found this strange thingie in the forest, looking at the dry crust and butterfly pollen on my fingers, I had no idea what it was, but suspected it was a dried fungus... hardly identifiable. Well, this year I found a fresh living one (which looked more like an oatmill) -- it became clear I found a slime mold.
One of the types of slime mold... What specie exactly it was? I dont know still. My closest assumption - it can be Mucilago crustacea, but that is under question. It is not forageble and not edible, and not very much foto-friendly, thats for sure!
